Melissa has been with Carr-Hughes for almost eight years. She is our Production Coordinator, Crewer and Controller for all  Carr-Hughes shows. In 2010 Melissa crewed over 150 freelancers for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in  Lexington, Kentucky. She also serves as our network commercial liaison. She works closely with clients, sponsors and national network contacts to insure all ads are approved for air. Melissa lives in Glens Falls, NY with her husband Bob and sons Cooper and Brady.

Bob Ives is an Editor and ENG Camera Operator who has spent the past decade producing television. Jordan Joined Carr-Hughes Productions in the winter of 2008 as an editor after working for Apple in NYC as a creative trainer. He brings substantial software expertise to CHP, as well as a background in film theory and documentary film editing. His contributions include Avid and Final Cut Studio editing, motion design, 3D animation. Jordan also contributes to the post production infrastructure of Carr-Hughes by being up-to-date on the current trends in the ever changing world of post production.

Al joined Carr-Hughes back in 2007, as our Manager, Program Development.  He brings years of Relationship Management experience from his previous life in banking.  Besides a willingness to talk to anyone about a new television program idea and how to find a way to get it on a suitable network, he works closely with event organizers, sponsors, network executives and our staff to ensure that our programming meets the needs of everyone involved.  A native Michigander, Al and his wife, Mary, fell in love with the Adirondacks among their travels and are glad to be living in their own little slice of Heaven.

Production and operations management is the specialty for Don Krone, whose experience ranges across Olympic and World Championship events in a number of winter sports. Prior to joining Carr-Hughes in 2012, Don produced the global television programs of the FIBT (International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation) for 13 years and has been a TV and special event technical manager at events such as the ESPN Great Outdoor Games, the Gravity Games, and the XGames.

With nearly 15 years of TV experience as a freelance documentary filmmaker, writer, and editor, Jeff's work on some of the most ambitious broadcasts in sports television has earned him six Sports Emmy awards and a lot of frequent flier miles.  A passionate storyteller with a genuine interest in the humanity of competitive sports, Jeff signed on full-time with Carr-Hughes in January 2013, after working closely with the company since 2006 as a consultant. His first feature film as an editor - director Matt Herriger's Winter's Wind - was released independently in 2012.

At this U.S. Olympic Committee hosted event, the pride of America, its wounded warriors, compete in Olympic themed competitions including running, cycling and basketball to name a few. Our program showcased the incredible stories of dedication and sacrifice of these warrior athletes highlighted during the competitions. 
Bob Baffert:  A Heart of Gold
The road to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games is well underway. Here's the opening sequence for our coverage of the U.S. Curling Nationals on NBC Sports Network.
It is America's oldest operating sporting venue and the home to horse racing's most beloved meet.  Fans enjoyed 4 weekends and 5 programs, all "live" on NBC and NBC Sports Network.  Highlighted by coverage from the Mid-Summer Derby, "The Travers Stakes".
NBC Sports coverage of the "Road to the Derby" opens in Florence, KY at Turfway Park for the Spiral Stakes. For four consecutive weekends horse racing's top contenders for the Run for the Roses would emerge. This tease set the tone for the series.

It was mayhem and comedy as Brian Baumgartner (Kevin from NBC's The Office) worked to improve his golf game heading into the American Century Golf Classic in Lake Tahoe. Brian's friends, from Aaron Rodgers to Ray Romano all chip in towards helping Brian up his game at Tahoe.

For 16 days, the world's greatest horses and riders descended on Lexington, KY for this major world championship.  As the event's host TV producer, Carr-Hughes provided "live" coverage of every phase of the competition totaling over 146 hours to networks worldwide on top of producing over 38 hours of coverage for the U.S.

ESPN NASCAR's Mobile Pit Studio is the state of the art in mobile studio technology. In this feature that aired in 2012 during ESPN's coverage of the Spring to the Cup, we give you a surveilance-style look at what goes on behind the scenes.
With the London Games just 48 days away New York City played host to the World's best in Track and Field at the Adidas Grand Prix. American athletes talk of the pressure and excitement that goes with competing in the Big Apple. 
American Decathlete Ashton Eaton makes his bid to join the U.S. Track Field Team and leave his mark on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. Eaton would go on to set world records at the trials making him a favorite to win in London. 
Hall of Fame thoroughbred racing trainer Bob Baffert and wife Jill recount the hours and days following Baffert's heart attack. The near death experience for the Baffert family was featured as part of NBC's "Road to the Derby" series during coverage of the Santa Anita Derby. 
It is America's pre-eminent equestrian event as well as the most complete test of horse and rider and draws an impressive international field for four days of competition. Since 1999, Carr-Hughes handled both the on-site TV production as well as the post production for this NBC Sports Special.

In February 2012, Galen Rupp set the American indoor record in the 2-mile, and dedicated the performance to his recently-deceased mentor, Geoff Hollister. We sat down with Rupp and his coach (and Hollister contemporary), Alberto Salazar, as they told us the story of the dramatic circumstances of Rupp's monster performance.
